SW GA Tech Pres. wins big award
THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - The President of Southwest Georgia Technical College earned a prestigious award. Dr. Craig Wentworth won the Delta Epsilon Outstanding Research Award. He's been President of Southwest Georgia Tech since November.
This award is based on a study Wentworth conducted while at the University of Georgia. His dissertation was on the role of collegiate participation in preparing woman for executive leadership. "I interviewed 11 women who are CEO's, CFO's, national sales directors in business and industry. As well as I interviewed women who are community college presidents, vice presidents, or deans," said Wentworth.
Wentworth accepted the award at the National Business Education Association Annual Convention in New Orleans.
