The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 24 of Tombstone will sponsor a Christmas in July fundraiser at the Legion Post to support the auxiliary’s annual Children’s Christmas Party, which happens in December. The fundraiser will take place over four days and will include a spin for prizes, coupons for drinks and to local restaurants, fudge, stuffed animals, jewelry, T-shirts and lots of other prizes. All these prizes have been donated by Tombstone merchants and members of Post 24. Christmas in July days and hours are: 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. today; and 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. American Legion members and their guests are invited.

The Huachuca City Lions Club will host a meatloaf dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today at 125 Huachuca City Blvd. Meal includes meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, a roll and dessert. Wilhelm Family Vineyards is hosting their second Patriot Salute Wine Festival From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Sunday. The vineyard is located at 21 Mountain Ranch Drive, Elgin/Sonoita, off Lower Elgin road 2 miles east of the landfill. There will be numerous family activities to accompany wine tasting and vineyard tours. The vineyard will donate a portion of all wine sales to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Friends of the San Pedro River will conduct interpretive walks along the river at 8 a.m. today and July 9, 16, 23, and 30. All walks depart from the San Pedro House, 9800 E Hwy. 90, Sierra Vista.
